From the age of 35 onwards, the face begins to show the first signs of skin laxity. To counter this phenomenon, the Ruth Niddam Paris Center is also equipped with Accent Prime™ technology, combining Radio Frequency and Ultrasound. It is a reference treatment for reducing skin sagging on both the face and body.

1. WHAT IS RADIO FREQUENCY?

Radio frequency is the emission of short waves that generate heat as they penetrate the tissues.

For wrinkles: by tightening collagen fibers, the heat produces an immediately visible skin-firming effect. It then triggers a cascade of processes leading to the production of new collagen fibers in superficial and deep wrinkles, cellulite, and the tissues as a whole.

For cellulite: by selectively heating fat cells (adipocytes) in both deep and superficial layers of the skin, it accelerates the release of fluids from the adipocytes and consequently reduces fat deposits. The fatty acids released are then used as an energy source instead of glucose or eliminated through the circulatory system.

1.1 Definition and Philosophy of Radio Frequency

Radio frequency is a technique based on the emission of very high-frequency electromagnetic waves passing through the skin, producing heat in the subcutaneous tissues. The heat acts deeply without burning the surface of the skin. It immediately causes contraction of collagen fibers and stimulates fibroblasts, triggering the production of new collagen and elastin. The result is a true remodeling of the face.

1.2 Devices Used During a Radio Frequency Treatment

Accent Prime™ is Alma Lasers’ most advanced equipment for skin tightening, body contouring, and improving skin imperfections. The platform combines the latest innovations in Radio Frequency, Ultrasound, Microplasma, and Sonophoresis technologies to provide effective, combinable, and fully customizable treatments with natural and long-lasting results from the very first session.

Accent Prime™ combines ultrasound and radio frequency technologies to deliver proven and superior results.

Advantages: tailored effectiveness with adjustable intensity according to each person’s morphology and goals.

1.3 How a Radio Frequency Treatment Session Works

On average, a session lasts 30 to 60 minutes. Generally, 5 to 6 sessions spaced 15 days to 3 weeks apart are required depending on the client’s age and skin condition.

For example, during a body treatment session, results are visible from the third session. However, as fibroblasts take about three months to synthesize elastin and collagen, optimal results are achieved at that time.

For the best results, 4 to 6 sessions are recommended, with a 15-day interval for the first three sessions.

The main steps of a radio frequency treatment include:
  • 1. Initial consultation: During the first consultation, the treatment area is determined and the skin age is assessed based on the client’s lifestyle and habits. A treatment schedule and the number of sessions required to reach the desired results are established.
  • 2. Regular sessions: Once the consultation is completed, sessions are scheduled accordingly. Each session lasts approximately one hour for the face and one and a half hours for the body.
  • 3. End of session: After the treatment, slight redness may appear for about 15 minutes without pain. You can immediately resume your daily activities. With tighter skin and redefined contours, most clients can observe the first results in the mirror thanks to before-and-after photos taken during the session.

1.4 Prices and Rates at Our Institute

Face & Body – Contouring – Radio Frequency
From €350 per session depending on the treated areas. Radio frequency stimulates collagen synthesis and fibroblast production, helping treat skin laxity and improve the appearance of cellulite. The skin becomes firmer and smoother.

Face & Body – Sculpting – Ultrasound
From €300 to €350 per session. Ultrasound breaks down and eliminates fat deposits. The silhouette becomes more sculpted and toned.

Face & Body Lifting
Between €300 and €450 per session. The combined action of our signature treatments with radio frequency and ultrasound provides a complete remodeling of key areas or the entire silhouette.

2. FACE, SKIN, NECK: WHICH AREAS OF THE BODY CAN BENEFIT? WHAT RESULTS CAN BE EXPECTED?

2.1 Immediate, Natural, Visible and Long-Lasting Results

Abdomen, buttocks, thighs, arms, love handles, knees, double chin, neck, jawline, and full face.

Ultrasound treatments allow:

reshaping of the face and body

skin firming

reduction of cellulite (orange-peel skin) and stretch marks

skin rejuvenation

weight loss support

stimulation of collagen production

This treatment also helps tone, firm, smooth, and slim the entire body, revealing your natural beauty. Results are reliable, long-lasting, and visible from the very first session.

2.2 Radio Frequency for the Face: A Healthy Glow and Reduced Fine Lines

A typical facial treatment includes:
  • 1. Skin cleansing and exfoliation.
  • 2. A handpiece is applied to the treatment area to tighten the skin. The emission of very high-frequency waves is felt as gentle warmth.
  • 3. Jet Peel, Microneedling, or Gua-Sha may be added depending on the client’s needs.
  • 4. The session ends with a deep facial massage performed by a facialist to stimulate tissues and remodel the face.

From the second session, smoother skin, improved elasticity, firmer contours, and a healthy glow can already be observed. Results remain visible for several weeks and become spectacular after six sessions.

2.3 Radio Frequency for the Body

Radio frequency treatments help tighten sagging skin and reduce cellulite.

A treatment session involves applying a conductive gel or vaseline to the treatment area to maintain consistent heat. A circular massage with the radio frequency and ultrasound applicator is performed for about 30 minutes or more depending on the area, skin condition, and treatment goals.

The external temperature remains between 39°C and 42°C, while deeper tissues reach approximately 62°C. The treatment is completely painless and often very relaxing.

After treatment, the skin appears tighter, firmer, and slightly pink, with redness disappearing within a few hours.

3. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF RADIO FREQUENCY TREATMENT?

3.1 Advantages

  • “Lunch time treatment” – quick sessions
  • No injections and no surgery
  • Immediate lifting effect
  • Painless and non-invasive
  • Compatible with other skin-tightening treatments

Results are usually visible from the first session, sometimes from the third session depending on the indication.

The skin appears smoother, more elastic, and more toned, with a firmer facial contour and a radiant glow.

3.2 Disadvantages

There are virtually no disadvantages, as it is a non-invasive treatment. Some clients may feel mild heat during the session.

Contraindications

Radio frequency is generally safe when used with professional equipment. Rare risks include burns if the device is improperly adjusted.

Contraindications include:

pacemaker

melanoma

pregnancy

metal implants

These points are discussed during the initial consultation.

Side Effects

Temporary redness or swelling may occur for a few hours and rarely up to 24–48 hours.
