MICRONEEDLING PEN – SKIN BOOSTER
1. WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?
Microneedling is a service performed with a pen-like electrical device called a “Pen-Skin booster”. It consists of 12, 36, 42 tiny needles or nano-needles.
This tool will pierce the epidermis and dermis at variable depths, creating micro perforations, invisible to the naked eye. These micro perforations will allow the different active ingredients chosen to penetrate deeply and act more quickly. Microneedling will stimulate the skin’s natural self-healing process, as well as the production of new collagen and elastin.
These effects will reduce wrinkles and fine lines, spots, regulate excess sebum, and tighten pores. The skin regenerates more quickly and acne scars (light to medium) fade over the days.
As each skin is different, the professional chooses the serum to penetrate according to the characteristics of the skin, whether it is acne-prone, oily, mature, dry or combination. With nearly 8000 impacts per minute, the stimulation effect is impressive.

To complete the session, it is possible to add 30 minutes of LED. 2. HOW A PEN-SKIN BOOSTER MICRONEEDLING TREATMENT WORKS
On average, a session lasts 40 to 60 minutes. Generally, 3 to 5 sessions are recommended at two-week intervals or once a month depending on the case. The session starts with a skin cleansing with a suitable peel or scrub or with the JetPeel™. Once the skin is prepared, the “Pen-Skin booster” begins.
Here are the main steps of a “Pen-Skin booster” treatment
2.1 Discovery consultation.
During the first consultation, the treatment area and the age of the skin will be calculated according to the hygiene and lifestyle of the client. The schedule and the number of sessions necessary to reach your objective will be established. The sessions will help to fight against :
- Dilated pores,
- Acne scars
- Wrinkles and fine lines
- Stretch marks
2.2 The sessions
With the Microneedling “Pen-Skin booster” equipped with a disposable tip with micro needles and integrated syringe. (New and exclusive to Ruth Niddam Paris). The Pen-Skin booster is applied to the skin in two steps:
- A first dry pass over the whole face is done with circular movements in order to create micro-perforations.
- The second pass will have a double stimulation of the fibroblasts for a natural activation of the synthesis of collagen and elastin fibres for an accelerated cellular regeneration, the absorption of active principles by the skin is optimised thanks to the micro-channels created.
- After having stimulated all the zones of the face, we continue with a massage, the difference in massage pressure between the upper and lower tissues will then provoke a deep penetration and a transdermal diffusion of the active ingredients.

Remarkable results are achieved on skin imperfections such as enlarged pores, wrinkles, stretch marks, scars and pigment spots.
The skin is dewy and small bleeding may be observed if a deep treatment is chosen. This treatment can be sensitive but not painful.
2.3 End of session, side effects
After the session, slight redness may remain and the skin may be sensitive for 24 to 48 hours but there is no social eviction.
It is advisable to apply a healing cream in the few days following the session to facilitate the healing process. We recommend avoiding the sun for at least 15 days following the session. And according to the sensitivity of each skin (after each treatment done in our centre, personalised advice will be given on a case by case basis).
You can resume your day immediately afterwards. Your skin is moisturised, tightened and your lines are redefined. You can see the first results in front of the mirror with the photos taken before and after the session which will be at your disposal.
2.4 What to do after a Microneedling session?
Our main recommendation after the treatment is not to rinse the skin for 24 hours! For an optimum result, your skin is full of active ingredients and real changes in the appearance of the skin will occur in the following days!
There is no real disadvantage or major contraindication to Microneedling because of the non-invasive treatments. However, the skin must not have any conditions such as eczema, wounds, irritations, sunburns.
Nevertheless, there are some recommendations which are as follows:
- It is not recommended to have UV sessions at least 1 week before the treatment
- Avoid sun exposure for 1 week after the treatment.
- Avoid all sources of heat for 24 hours after the session, such as hot baths, saunas and steam rooms.
- No make-up on the face for 24 hours after the treatment.
- Avoid contact with the face, such as greeting someone with a kiss.
- Change your pillowcase and use a clean towel.
- Sun protection factor 50 every morning for a fortnight to protect your skin from UV rays.

3.1 Microneedling combined with other technologies: a healthy glow and a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles

3.2 Microneedling and neck
